Plastic Glasses
Plastic Glasses are supplied to both the licensed trade and to the domestic market. Our disposable glasses (usually made from polystyrene) are flexible and normally used for outdoor catering events, festivals etc where standard glassware is simply not an option. The disposable glassware we supply is tough enough to be handled roughly without cracking or splitting. Polycarbonate glasses (non-disposable) are made to be virtually unbreakable and are very rapidly becoming a substitute for standard glass in busy pubs, clubs etc due in part to the ever-increasing number of violent attacks with glass. Polycarbonate Glasses utilizes the same super tough material used in the construction of motorbike crash helmets, riot shields and bulletproof windows giving the consumer an unparalleled in the product. The strength of polycarbonate glasses has to be seen to be believed they can comfortably take the weight of a small car without breaking and will only show a slightly squashed appearance.
Drinking establishments are slowly realising that breakages can become a thing of the past as polycarbonate glassware is virtually unbreakable and cannot be smashed no matter how much force is applied to the product. Polycarbonate plastic glasses can withstand tonnes of pressure and years of abuse in a sort period of time. Polycarbonate glasses are perfectly designed to withstand the rigors and demands of even the busiest environment and are also totally dishwasher safe and can be used hundreds of times over unlike standard glassware. Polycarbonate glasses will not suffer from the usual breakages that occur throughout the day to day running of a busy pub club or nightclub and will therefore last longer and need replacing less often which justifies the higher cost price when compared with normal or standard glasses. There is a large range of plastic glasses now available to choose from including pints and half pints all government stamped and CE marked for serving measured amounts of alcohol. Also there are many tumbler or hi-ball type polycarbonate glasses to choose from and also single shot glasses. Wine glasses are also available in all the usual “wine by the glass” measures with the CE marked line stamped onto the glasses in various sizes.
