Liqueur Glass Styles for Trade & Hospitality
The right glass matters at the end of a meal. A well-chosen liqueur glass signals quality, frames the pour, and concentrates aroma – all of which affect how a guest remembers the experience. We stock the styles that actually get ordered in commercial hospitality, not just the decorative ones.
Stemmed Liqueur Glasses
The classic format. A slender bowl on a stem keeps the drink cool, prevents the hand from warming the spirit, and gives the presentation a clean, considered look. Our stemmed range includes the Stolzle Liqueur Glass at 55 ml/2 oz – a compact, elegant option suited to single-measure digestif service in fine dining and hotel restaurants.
Port & Sherry Glasses
Port and sherry glasses are slightly larger than a standard liqueur glass, designed to let fortified wines breathe without losing aromatics. The Riedel Bar Port Glass at 270 ml/9.5 oz is the benchmark for premium port service. For sherry, the Chef & Sommelier Spirits Sherry Glass at 120 ml/4.25 oz delivers the tapered bowl shape that concentrates fino and amontillado on the nose. Both styles work equally well for dessert wine flights.
Crystal Liqueur Glasses
Crystal construction gives a thinner wall, a cleaner ring, and noticeably better clarity than standard soda-lime glass. The Schott Zwiesel Bar Special Crystal Liqueur Saucer at 68 ml/2.4 oz and the Schott Zwiesel Tossa Crystal Schnapps Glass at 77 ml/2.7 oz are both machine-made from Tritan crystal, which means they’re genuinely glasswasher-safe – a non-negotiable for high-volume service. Luigi Bormioli’s D.O.C. Crystal Sherry Glass at 130 ml/4.5 oz rounds out the crystal options with a more traditional silhouette.
Digestif & Cordial Glasses
Digestif service and cordial glasses overlap considerably in practice. The Chef & Sommelier Spirits Cordial Glass at 110 ml/3.75 oz and the Chef & Sommelier Sequence Sherry/Porto/Cordial Glass at 210 ml/7.25 oz both handle this role well – the smaller format for a single measure of Cointreau or Amaretto, the larger for a generous pour of port or a dessert wine pairing. For high-volume venues needing a robust, stackable option, the Artis Picardie Liquor Glass at 85 ml/3 oz comes in cases of 144 and takes serious daily punishment.

FAQ – Liqueur Glasses
What liqueur glasses do you stock?
We stock ten lines across stemmed liqueur glasses, port glasses, sherry glasses, cordial glasses, crystal saucers and schnapps glasses. Brands include Schott Zwiesel, Chef & Sommelier, Riedel, Luigi Bormioli, Artis and Stolzle. Case quantities range from 6 to 144 units depending on the product.
What is the difference between a liqueur glass and a shot glass?
A shot glass is designed for a single quick measure – typically 25–50 ml – with no stem and a thick base built for repeated hard use. A liqueur glass is smaller and more refined: it has a stem, a shaped bowl, and is intended for slow sipping. The presentation is the point. Shot glasses prioritise durability; liqueur glasses prioritise the experience.
What are port and sherry glasses used for?
Port glasses are used for ruby, tawny and vintage port service, as well as dessert wines. Sherry glasses – often a copita or tulip shape – concentrate the aromas of fino, amontillado and oloroso styles. Both are larger than a standard liqueur glass and work well for fortified wine flights or dessert pairings.
Are liqueur glasses suitable for commercial glasswashers?
Most of the lines we stock are glasswasher-safe, including the Schott Zwiesel Tritan crystal range and the Chef & Sommelier Spirits and Sequence collections. Always check the individual product spec. Delicate crystal saucers with very thin stems may be better suited to hand washing in high-turnover environments.
Can I buy liqueur glasses in bulk?
Yes. All products are sold in trade case quantities – from 6 units for crystal lines up to 144 units for the Artis Picardie. We don’t sell individual glasses. If you need a large quantity beyond standard case multiples, call us to discuss availability.
Do you stock crystal liqueur glasses?
Yes. We carry Schott Zwiesel Tritan crystal (the Bar Special Liqueur Saucer and Tossa Schnapps Glass) and the Luigi Bormioli D.O.C. Crystal Sherry Glass. Tritan crystal is lead-free, dishwasher-safe and highly chip-resistant – well suited to commercial use.
What size are liqueur glasses?
Sizes in our range run from 55 ml (Stolzle Liqueur Glass) up to 210 ml (Chef & Sommelier Sequence Cordial). Standard liqueur and cordial formats sit between 55 ml and 130 ml. Port glasses are larger – the Riedel Bar Port Glass is 270 ml. The right size depends on your serve style and measure.
Can liqueur glasses be used for digestifs and cordials?
Absolutely. Most of the glasses in this range are designed precisely for that purpose. The Chef & Sommelier Spirits Cordial Glass and the Sequence Sherry/Porto/Cordial Glass are both suited to Baileys, Cointreau, Amaretto, limoncello and similar after-dinner pours. Stemmed formats also work well for schnapps and grappa service.
What is the minimum order?
There is no basket minimum for standard orders. Products are sold by the case – the smallest case quantity in this range is 6 units. For bespoke or very large requirements, contact our sales team directly.
Can I open a trade account?
Yes. Trade accounts are available to qualifying hospitality and catering businesses. Contact us to apply – account holders benefit from trade pricing and streamlined reordering.
